Not All Who Wander Are Lost

Shane and I definitely cling to the sentiment behind this quote. It's a famous line from a poem written by J.R.R. Tolkein, written within his L.O.T.R. trilogy. Are we nerds? Yes, without a doubt, but its a comfort to know that, although in the eyes of the world, we may seem like wanderers without direction, purpose, or plans for a future, that our Lord has a purpose and a plan for us, no matter where on our journey we may find ourselves.

On a related note, we recently purchased a print online that we both LOVE! It has taken us a while to find the right frame for it, but we finally found an amazing custom frame on etsy that is perfect! I was so excited to put it all together this past week and finally get it hung in our bedroom.

 At first I was worried that we spent too much on the frame, but once we got it in the mail I felt like it was a steal. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's a beautiful frame, with quality construction, and just what we wanted.

 We are both Language Arts teachers after all : )

This week was also Shane's 25th Birthday! Can't help but remember October 4th three years ago when we first met!!

 We finally got to christen our new family tradition and use the Birthday Plate!

 Sweet Pepper Chicken Fajitas were on the menu for the Birthday Meal........

And our GF take on the "Better than anything" cake : )
