My latest "Crafty Attempt" was stolen from Pinterest-go figure : ) My sister Racquel had it pinned to one of her boards, so I guess I stole the idea from her too!
Fall Craft Attempt: Personalized Coaster Sets
Here are some pictures of some of the different steps of how to make coasters from basic 4 x 4 tiles you can find at your local hardware store.
I used 4 x 4 tiles from Lowes (10 cent a piece) Then picked out Scrapbooking paper from the local Archivers. The paper shown above was a seasonal print they were selling during October with the lines from Edgar Allen Poe's poem "The Raven."
After using Modge Podge to get the paper in place on the tile, I then cut 4 x 4 squares of these cork sheets and used rubber cement to adhere them to the bottom of the tile so they don't scratch any surfaces.

Here are some of the styles I picked out for Lauren.
Once the Modge Podge was dried then it was time for the final step.
I sprayed 3 coats (letting dry in between) of clear sealant spray paint in order to make sure these coasters were condensation proof!!!
Here are some I made for me and Shane.
Shane picked these lines of poetry.
It was a fun project that was easy to personalize!
