February Fun....right?

Haha! Oh it's been a while-okay maybe just a month, but in blogging years that's practically decades.
In some ways I feel like we have been so busy that there is a ton I could update the blogosphere with, but to be honest 90 % of it is just the crazy daily grind.

This month, after ordering it the first week of October, I FINALLY received the custom headboard that I ordered from a local craftsman....or craftswoman. I literally asked her for a refund in January after the "5 week" deadline that passed in November continued to get pushed forward due to "Rain," "Family Emergencies," "More Rain," "Email malfunctions," "Retorn ACL," oh yeah and lest I forget "More Rain." After many excuses I had had enough and nicely asked for my money back, only to be promised it was "almost finished" and would be delivered within 2 weeks. That turned in to 4, and in the meantime after looking at pictures she ended up rebuilding it and restaining and distressing it since her first version was NOTHING like I asked for.

Wow-okay deep breath.
Below are some pictures of the bedroom with the new addition. I must say the final (2nd edition)product gives our bedroom the laid back beachy get away feel I was going for-but it was a painful process, and I think its safe to say that although the woman has great deals-unfortunately I don't see her small business going anywhere soon.

Looking at this picture makes me want to actually jump in that bed and sleep for about 2 days straight! : )

Headboard drama aside, Shane and I do have some praises this month as well!

1.) We are finally taking membership classes at CrossPointe and making it our "official" home
2.) We've joined our second small group and so far it really has been great and we are excited about the new relationships, fellowship, and learning more about God and his word through community.
3.) God has provided some amazing answers to prayer through a job opportunity for Shane-if you want to know more about it email me! Things aren't official yet and we are literally in the middle of it-but God has blown us away with some answers to some very specific prayers.

We are looking forward to our upcoming four day weekend and hope to not only get some things accomplished outside of school but hopefully get some good R & R as well!

We are missing our families a ton right now and were blessed to hang out with Brad a couple weeks ago on his way down to Jacksonville for school (which he is LOVING!). We are so glad that we will see both of our families (or parts of both) this upcoming April! God is good and though we still hate being so far from them we are always thankful that we have families that we miss rather than feel relief at their distance : )

Hopefully I'll be back on here sooner than later!
