It's Snowing in the South

For the past 4 days the news channels have been devoting large amounts of their air time talking about the upcoming "Winter Storm," that would not only bring forth snow and freezing rain but make travel "impossible." As was predicted-last night at about 10:30 p.m. the snow started falling and we accumulated around 6 inches. What would be considered a run of the mill Winter dusting up North was enough to cancel school county wide here! Thankfully Shane gets a day to lay low as it seems that his sinus infection from over break is back with a vengeance : ( Today has been filled with freezing rain that should continue til later tonight. To the right is a picture from our front door-not that great of a picture but I wasn't willing to venture much further in the cold air!

Sunday I went grocery shopping for the week and was totally shocked at the empty shelves where the eggs and milk were supposed to be! All that was left were 1/2 gallons of Skim and gallons of buttermilk. I was able snag 1 of the last 5 or 6 dozens of eggs left on the shelf and then ventured to the checkout where the cashier informed me of the onslaught of shoppers the night before that came and stocked up worried about the storm! You would think the sky was falling! For any of you that are worried ; ) We are all okay!
