It's beginning to look a lot like FALLmas. . . . .

Well, I haven't been on here for a while now, and it's definitely not for lack of good intention. Life has been crazy lately, and getting on to blog just kept slipping down the priority list : (

Some of the recent high lights would be:

1.) Me getting sick and acquiring lovely germs from the many students I come in contact with everyday : (

2.) Me wrecking our car (the jury is still out on what will be its final fate). Praise God Shane and I work at the same place, and only 5 minutes away, in order to make due with having only 1 car.

3.) Fall Birthdays!!! of so many people we love!

Sept- Hannah & Adam, to name a few

October- Shane, Nicole, Lauren, Gideon, Auntie Toni, etc.

4.) Shane and I may have found a church to call home. The head pastor knows Pastor James (from Harvest in Elgin where we used to go in Chicago), and has spoken at the same pastor's conference as him. He is a great teacher, isn't afraid to speak the truth and probably read more scripture in the one service we attended than all the other churches we visited combined! This week we will visit again and I am hopeful that it will be a place we can commit to. (its only 15 min. away!)

5.) Fall weather is finally here! We were still getting some pretty hot mid 90 degree days but just recently the temperatures have dropped to mid to high 70's during the day and dropping as low as 55 at night. It's great to have the windows open and turn off the A.C.

6.) This weekend our entire region of Georgia High School Football has a Bye Week--which means I have my husband all to myself for an entire weekend! This may be a first in our marriage-and we are both so excited to get some quality time together! Shane's birthday is Monday so it will be fun to celebrate this weekend before the 2nd half of the football season takes off! (Can't believe it's half over already!)

7.) Still struggling on and off with maintaining the vision and remembering the conviction that this is God's will for us. Constantly being surrounded by the unfamiliar, and missing being with the ones we love so dearly, can easily get our hearts off track. Though we will never stop missing our families and friends that we love so much-it comforts us to be reminded that God does have us here for a reason, and this doesn't change just because of the changing circumstances of our days might make us feel otherwise.

8.) And finally-to anyone who is reading this--chances are we miss you greatly and are eagerly looking forward to the next time we will see you!
