Prayers & Provision

This morning I decided to take a timeout from updating "stuff," and decided to focus on all the ways the Lord has been blessing us and providing for us thus far down here.

1. He's given us great friends who are looking out for us through our Wheaton College Connections-pre-existing relationships that will hopefully grow as they enter a new chapter here in Georgia.
2. A great apartment that we can make a home.
3. Lots of Sunshine (and crazy thunderstorms that I LOVE)
4. A plethora of churches to visit & a reminder that God's people are everywhere
5. Already an opportunity for Shane to share his faith and the hope that we have in Christ to his team-Praise God! (The F.C.A. weekend went really well and God really blew Shane away-details to come)
6. We have each other-without that love, support, and friendship all of this "new" uprooting stuff would be exponentially harder-obviously :)
7. We have amazing family and friends that love us and support us via the phone/internet/prayers! (and packages in the mail :) )
8. God's word: Here we have the solid rock of truth that we can turn to whenever anything is threatening to shake our steadfast trust in the Lord's good plan.
I just put this verse on our refrigerator as a daily reminder:

"It is the Lord that goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." -Deuteronomy 31:8

Yes. This is the street we live on.
- God's Providence? or Coincidence? Well I'm not going to attempt to read God's mind so we'll just leave that as a question for heaven :) but I sill think its cool.


P.S. Nicole..you know you always have a place down here if you want one...You guys have a place to stay ...and a salon! It's directly across the street from us :)
