Homestead Happenings

I figured that once I start working full time I will have less time to putz around the kitchen and experiment so this post is in honor of the time and fun I have had being able to do that so far!

I finally found a Grocery store I can rely on and its 5 minutes from the apartment. I had been going to another (old) Kroger in the other direction (the only one I knew of), but was definitely frightened one day when, as I walked in the store, a man was walking out with 5 bags of ice. . . and NO SHOES!

Produce, that doesn't make me feel like I spent a fortune, or taste like it was plastic food taken from a little tikes refrigerator!

BONUS!!! Though a bit pricey, I didn't have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest Whole Foods to get these GFree versions of cream soup!

Lauren helped me out with a lull in my ability to come up with another meal idea.
The Turkey & Ricotta bake was yum! Thanks LO!

After the 2nd week in a row of buying too many bananas, I am finally learning my lesson and cutting back, but alas, must still figure out what to do with the old ones.

Thankfully with the help of muffin pans from Danielle & Nick I was able to mix it up a bit and throw together some banana nut muffins. . . if only I could taste them! I need to get better about experimenting with GFree baking!!

The remnants of flowers from Shane (in small glass. . . I wasn't ready for them to die yet..) and a vase from my momma from an antique shop in Dundee!

School Starts in 2 Days. . . And this is what I'll be reminding myself everyday!

Here We Go!
