Job Update

Praise the Lord! Yesterday while perusing hobby lobby for some fabric to reupholster our new chairs, I got a call from the Administrative Assistant at Mt. View H.S. (The school Shane Coaches/Teaches at) She set up a time for me to come in this morning and interview with her and the Principle to see if I would be interested in Mt. View's "Stellar Sub" position. The position's responsibilities are mainly to be the Substitute Coordinator for the High School. I set up all the subs for all the approved requests that go through the Principle and Adminstrative Assistant (Diane). I will be working closely with Diane to make sure all Subs are payed and that all classes are covered. When not doing this I am a backup for any teachers who will be in meetings or whose last minute subs haven't arrived yet and will fill in in the classroom. Along with that, whenever I have nothing to do I will pretty much just help out in the Main office answering phones or doing any clerical work that needs to get done. All in all I am a floater and will wear many different hats.
It's not a teaching job, but it is a great foot in the door and a position that will require me to get to know everyone in the building!
All that to say they offered me the job and immediately afterwards was taken on a tour of the school and introduced to every faculty member there as Diane looked everywhere for Shane to tell him the good news. Following faculty lunch I (along with Shane) sat through a 2 hour staff meeting, where I was introduced to everyone. I have a benefits meeting in the morning and start 6:30 a.m. on Monday!
I am not surprised at all that the Lord has provided. In my experience he usually chooses to show up in the 11th hour and stretch my faith to the limits!

Also for those of you that don't know Shane has his teaching schedule for the Fall and will be team teaching Sophomore and Senior Language Arts as well as 2 Chemistry classes!! On top of that he is not only coaching outside linebackers, but kick returns as well, along with being in charge of Film.

On top of this load he will also have his I.E.P. s to take care of (Individual Education Plan), and a case load of students for whom he needs to create these plans(this equals lots of meetings, with parents, students, teachers and LOTS of paperwork).

He will also be working on his certification classes all the while. Needless to say your prayers are coveted as Shane and I both venture into many unknowns!

God is good and we thank all of you who have been so diligent to pray for His provision in our lives!
